Financial and material support
The Kalutara Vidyalaya Old Boys Association provided financial and material support for the Kalutara Vidyalaya Primary Section Surya Mangalya. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Committee members who participated and contributed to making the event a success.
Providing Balls For Cricket Training
Mr. Sanjeewa Fernando, who has 22 years of experience as a Premier 01 level umpire in Sri Lankan cricket and has been an umpire for LPL, NSL and Major Premier League matches last year, is providing balls for cricket training at Kalutara Vidyalaya. We express our gratitude to Mr. Sanjeewa Fernando on behalf of the Kalutara Vidyalaya Old Boys Association.

Providing Sports Equipment
Another step taken by the Kalutara Vidyalaya Old Boys Association for the advancement of school volleyball.
The Kalutara Vidyalaya Old Boys Association donated volleyball equipment to the school sports department.
Providing sportswear and footwear
Providing sportswear and footwear to children who have won for the school at the Zonal Athletics Championships and qualified for the Western Provincial Athletics Championships.
This program, which was implemented according to a concept of the Vice President of the Old Boys Association, Comrade Chandima Rajasinghe, received the support of the Honorable President of the Old Boys Association and a large group of people.
We express our gratitude to the sponsors of the sports shoes, Dinusha Nanayakkara, Arjuna Kumarasinghe, Ranga Dayananda, Rajeev Mohan, Himesh Silva, Chinthaka Sadaruwan, Asela, Thilina and Sumesh de Silva, and to Ashoka Ravindra, who sponsored the sports uniforms.
Donating a baton to the band
The baton, which was essential for the Kalutara Vidyalaya Senior Western Band, was specially made for our school by the United Kingdom branch of Old Boys Association, with the full coordination of the Kalutara Vidyalaya Old Boys Association, from leading manufacturers in the United Kingdom and donated to our school. The donation was presented to the Principal of Kalutara Vidyalaya, Mr. Harshana Peiris, by the Honorable Secretary of the United Kingdom branch, Mr. Mahesh Kannangara, on July 21, 2023. On that occasion, Teacher Dhananjani, the students of the Western Band and the officers of the Old Boys Association also joined. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our fellow members, including the officers of the Western Kingdom Branch of the Old Boys Association, for making that special sacrifice.
Donating cricket and Football Equipments
Mr. Rumesh Rangana’s Great Deed
Former student who was a school cricketer of Kalutara Vidyalaya and presently lives in Australia had made a great and priceless deed by Donating cricket and Football Equipments to Kalutara Vidyalaya.
On 11th July 2023 in the meeting which was arranged by Mr. Wasantha Ariyawickrama , President of Old Boys’ Association of Kalutara Vidyalaya, the Principal Mr. Harshana Peiris had been donated those valuable Equipments by Mr. Rumesh Rangana at OBA premises. At that event Mr. Gammune Master in Charge, Mr. Sunil Saluwadana Former Cricket Coach, Mr. T.M. Sampath Cricketer and Committee Members of Kalutara Vidyalaya Old Boys’ Association were presented.
Giving away T-shirts
The Mangosteen official uniforms were handed over to the captain of the Kalutara Vidyalaya cricket team by Mr. T.M. Sampath, an alumnus of our school, who is the brand manager of the institution, with the full support of the "Sixers Australia" company. Special thanks to Mr. Manith Warnasuriya, Mr. Percy Mohottige, Mr. Gayan Ekanayake.
Providing carrom boards
In order to develop the game of carrom in the school, a carrom board along with relevant equipment was donated to the Principal of the Primary Section on 2022-04-27 with the full support of the Old Boys Association.
Providing a steel cupboard
Providing a steel cupboard for Sampath Piyasa with the full contribution of the 91st Old Boys Group at the request of the Old Boys Association.
Giving away a HP laptop
As requested by the principal of primary section of Kalutara vidyalaya, a HP computer was donated by the KVOBA as a helping hand to the primary section staff members in preparing assignments and to serve other academic needs. The occassion took place with the presence of the president of KVOBA Mr Aruna Piyaratne, the honourable principal of Kalutara Vidyalaya Mr Harshana Pieris, Principal of primary section Mr Dayaratne, staff member of primary section Mrs Thamara Jayathunge at the Annual General Meeting of the School Development Society (SDS) held on the 28th of August 2020 at the school auditorium.
